2013 - 2014 Spring Semester MATH 1350 Survey of Calculus
Section 100 (Barsamian) Quiz Information
- No calculators, books, or other reference material allowed.
- Quizzes usually start 15 or 20 minutes before the end of class, as soon as all your stuff is put away
- Quizzes end at the end of class time, with no exceptions
Quizzes are based on Examples from the textbook. This is meant as an incentive for you to read the textbook and study the examples. The best way to study for the quizzes is:
- Read the textbook, including the examples.
- Focus on understanding every one of the examples.
- For each of the examples, do the accompanying "Matched Problem".
- Write your solution to the "Matched Problem" down on paper. Try to make your solution to the Matched Problem look just like the book's solution to the accompanying Example. That is, write the same words and symbols in all the same places. Simply change the details of the function.
- Compare your answers to the answers provided in the book.
