Sections 101 and 102 (Barsamian) Exam 3 Information
- Exam is on Monday, March 16, 2015 during your normal class time.
- The exam will be held in Morton 235
- No calculators, books, notes, or cell phones
- The exam covers Chapter 2 Section 2.8 and Chapter 3 Sections 2, 3, 5, 6, 7
- The exam is 7 problems, on 4 pages, printed on front & back of 2 sheets of paper
- A problem about Linearization. (concepts from Section 2.8)
- A problem about Inverse Functions. (concepts from Section 3.2)
- A problem about Derivatives of Exponential and Logarithmic functions. (concepts from Section 3.3)
- A problem about Inverse Trig Functions. (concepts from Section 3.5)
- A problem about Inverse Trig Functions. (concepts from Section 3.5)
- A problem about Hyperbolic Functions. (concepts from Section 3.6)
- A problem about L'Hopital's Rule. (concepts from Section 3.7)
- I will give you the derivative formulas for sin-1, cos-1, tan-1. No other derivative formulas will be given.
- Note: All exam problems are based on the list of suggested exercises from the textbook.
- Note: On all problems, you should show all steps of the solution, use correct notation, and explain key steps. (Remember that in this course, the objective is to not only get correct answers, but also present clear solutions to the problems.)
