Sections 101 and 102 (Barsamian) Exam 4 Information
- Exam is on Monday, April 6, 2015 during your normal class time.
- The exam will be held in Morton 235
- No calculators, books, notes, or cell phones
- The exam covers Chapter 4 Sections 1 - 7
- The exam is 7 problems, on 4 pages, printed on front & back of 2 sheets of paper
- A problem about finding critical numbers and/or the closed interval method. (concepts from Section 4.1)
- A problem involving the use of Rolle's Theorem or the Mean value Theorem. (concepts from Section 4.2)
- A problem about finding intervals of increase & decrease and local extrema and finding intervals of concavity and inflection points. (concepts from Section 4.3)
- A problem about curve sketching. (concepts from Section 4.4)
- An optimization problem. (concepts from Section 4.5)
- A problem about Newton's Method. (concepts from Section 4.6)
- A problem about Antiderivatives. (concepts from Section 4.7)
- Note: All exam problems are based on the list of suggested exercises from the textbook.
- Note: On all problems, you should show all steps of the solution, use correct notation, and explain key steps. (Remember that in this course, the objective is to not only get correct answers, but also present clear solutions to the problems.)
