2015 - 2016 Spring Semseter MATH 1350 Survey of Calculus
Section 100 (Barsamian) Final Exam Information
- Exam is on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 in Walter Hall Room 135.
- The exam starts after 10:10am, as soon as all your stuff is put away
- The exam ends at 12:10pm, no exceptions
- You will need your OU student ID.
- No calculators, no books, no notes, no cell phones.
- Note: All exam problems are based on the list of suggested exercises from the textbook and class drills.
- The Exam is 12 problems
- Problem about limits (concepts from Section 2.1 or 2.2)
- Compute a derivative using the Derivative Rules (NOT the Limit) (concepts from Sections 2.5, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4)
- Compute a derivative using the Definition of the Derivative (the Limit) (concepts from Section 2.4)
- Tangent line problem. (We had problems involving tangent lines in Sections 2.5, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4)
- Rate of Change Problem (We had problems involving rate of change in Sections 2.5, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4 and on Class Drill 9)
- Problem about intervals of increase & decrease, local extrema, intervals of concavity, inflection points (concepts from Sections 4.1, 4.2)
- Problem about finding absolute max/min or optimization. (concepts from Sections 4.5 or 4.6)
- Indefinite Integral (concepts from Section 5.1)
- Indefinite Integral problem either applied or with extra condition (concepts from Section 5.1)
- Indefinite Integral involving substitution. (concepts from Section 5.2)
- Problem involving the area between curves. (concepts from Section 6.1)
- Problem about Total Change or Future Value or Consumers' & Producers' Surplus (concepts from Section 6.2)
- Remark: A significant number of the ten problems are based on problems from our quizzes and in-class exams! But again, in general, all exam problems are based on the list of suggested exercises from the textbook and class drills.
