The Midwest United States Association for Information Systems (MWAIS) Conference occurs annually in May. The 2026 conference will take place in person on May 20 & 21, 2026 in Athens, OH and is hosted by the Ohio University’s College of Business.
The MWAIS mission is “to promote the exchange of ideas, experiences, and knowledge among scholars and professionals in the Midwest US engaged in the development, management, and use of information and communications systems and technology.” Established in 2006, MWAIS is a chapter of the Association for Information Systems (AIS). The states served by this Chapter include Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. Historically this chapter conference has attracted authors consisting of CS/MIS/IT faculty, professionals, as well as a number of Ph.D. students. Proceedings of the conferences are included in the AIS digital library.
