Some of us are English majors. Some of us are talented chefs. Some of us sell you poetry on Court Street late at night. But all of us are undergraduates at Ohio University who love celebrating our peers’ creative work.
Anna Garnai

Anna (she/her) is a senior at Ohio University. She is majoring in English and minoring in psychology. Her favorite forms of procrastination involve trying new restaurants, rewatching episodes of New Girl, and impulsively reorganizing her entire apartment.
Delaney Cunningham

Delaney Cunningham is a second-year English major in the Honors Tutorial College. Hoping to explore how the field intersects with literature, she is pursuing a minor in psychology. Delaney is the copy editor for Sphere 67 and a member of Sigma Tau Delta, an international English honor society. When she isn’t typing at, roughly, the speed of light, she sings as a soprano 1 for the Tempo Tantrums.

Lexie is a fourth-year student studying English Creative Writing at Ohio University. When she is not watching movies, she enjoys long hikes that help her find ideas for her writing projects. Either that, or she is loudly stating her opinion about her favorite books, music, and films on her blog, The F.M.L Society. When all else fails, she attempts to learn a new language on Duolingo.

Bailey Deryck (she/her) is a sophomore majoring in English with a focus on Literature and Writing. Her genre of preference is fiction, particularly realistic fiction. As an avid Taylor Swift fan, she often listens to music as she writes and studies.

Aria Black (she/her) is a freshman studying English with a creative writing focus through the Honors Tutorial College. She is also contemplating several minors: Latin, Psychology, Classical Civilizations, Linguistics, Coffee Drinking, and Reading When She Should Be Doing Homework.
Parker Webb

Parker is a sophomore studying English Creative writing while minoring in Film at Ohio University. He’s an active member of Roughcuts Writers’ Room, writing both novelistic short stories as well as film scripts in his spare time. He also may or may not have a slight obsession with the Dragon Ball, Seven Deadly Sins, and Demon Slayer franchises (but like, you didn’t hear that from me).

Maddie (she/her) is a senior at OU studying English Literature & Writing. She is also pursuing her Professional Deaf Resources Liaison certificate. In the future, she hopes to earn her Masters in Library and Information Sciences. In her free time, she loves to read, walk, go to the library, and play games with her friends and family. Her favorite books are about libraries, and her favorite walks are to them.

Ella is a first-year student at OU double-majoring in Graphic Design and Media Studies: Music Production/Recording Industry. For her sophomore through senior year of high school, Ella was a chief editor of the QVHS “Bittersweet” Literary magazine, so she is excited to make the transition toward editing with Sphere. In her free time, she loves all things music: playing guitar and bass guitar, listening to music, and programming her own radio show at ACRN. She also loves making collages, shopping for antiques, and creating her own unique designs. Ella is beyond excited to be a part of the Sphere magazine staff!

She is the Fundraising Chair for the Club Tennis Team and is actively working to bring programs to OU that allow college students to teach writing classes to kids in juvenile detention centers. When Sky isn’t out playing tennis she loves cooking, karaoke, and spending time with her dog, Reggie.

She is majoring in English Lit & Writing while also minoring in psychology and journalism as well as pursuing a certificate in forensic science. She is published in both Sphere sixty-six and in Heroic Mosaic, another undergraduate literary magazine. An unpopular opinion Madi has is that cats are better than dogs. In fact, Madi would go as far as to say that she doesn’t even like dogs at all!

Nessa was born in Northern California and went to secondary school in Kettering, Ohio. She is a studio art major and a Spanish minor at OU. In her free time, she loves to create commissions for her friends and family. She plays Dungeons and Dragons, loves to sing, and is an art ambassador for the School of Fine Arts.
