The Williams Avian Ecology Lab

I am an avian ecologist with broad interest in understanding how birds use habitats within the landscape and how habitat use and environmental conditions affect the full annual ecology of birds.

HTC, Biological Sciences

I am studying Biological Sciences in the Honors Tutorial College at Ohio University. I joined the Williams Avian Ecology Lab in the fall of 2023 and jumped right into banding, telemetry, bird-window collision monitoring and studying skin preparation. I have also assisted on projects with American Kestrels and Wood Thrushes (my personal favorite). This year I am starting my senior thesis which will examine the effect of habitat structure on overwintering grassland bird species. Upon graduation, I would like to pursue a job in conservation interpretation and education.
