Chen proposed a new mechanism to predict the reaction rate of a general bimolecular reaction under diluted conditions when diffusion is involved. This is a fundamental challenge in almost all fields across chemistry, physics, materials, and engineering. Chen hopes the community to reinvestigate theories in reaction kinetics. Detecting and super-resolve the reactive oxygen species (ROS) near a single dye-labeled DNA molecule. ROS is "a necessary evil" in many biological systems. Detecting them in situ is important and interesting to many biological studies. This is a paper to prove that a small fraction of ROS can be super-localized even giving the diffusive nature of them. A mechanistic study of single-particle photoluminescence of perovskite nanorods. A kinetic model is proposed to explain the effect of the adsorption of oxygen molecules on the photoblinking of perovskite nanorods. A concept, photo-knockout, if proposed to distinguish from the traditional photobleaching effect.

A method to predict the best experimental conditions for PAINT, a super-resolution optical nanoscopy. The idea is to predict and balance the stochastic absorption and the photobleaching rates of the organic dye molecules. The hitting rate of a molecule to another molecule within time Δt is expressed with the above equation.
