The E.W. Scripps School of Journalism has its very own Bloomberg Terminal in Lasher Learning Center, on the first floor of Schoonover Center. Formally known as the Bloomberg Professional Service, this is a valuable piece of equipment for the finance industry, with annual subscriptions running well north of $20,000. But it’s also a pretty impressive newsgathering machine for those who can leverage its data and news sources.

Scripps is one of an elite number of journalism programs to have access to a Terminal. They’re more frequently found in business schools; Ohio University also has Terminal access through a trading center in Copeland Hall and in the Division of University Advancement, which manages the university’s $714 million endowment.
